My name is Iris, and I'm just another semi-creative, multilingual, hard-working, hyper-active globetrotter and world-citizen. I like being active and creative, which includes things such as writing, cooking, dancing, horseback riding and much more. As is probably clear from my blog, I love travelling and, when out and about, I also enjoy photography, photo editing, and learning languages.
My most ambitious goal in life is to find my biological parents and perhaps also siblings, if I have any. Apart from that I would love to get a diving certificate one day, learn Chinese properly, publish a book and learn how to read lips.

Why this website?
Originally, this website was the result of being a bit lonely during my first year at university, and wanting to express to friends and family at home what life was like in a new country miles away from home. During this time it turned into a website to pass my time a bit more creatively than reading law books, and when I got bored of them. Although I am now free from hardcore law books and statutes, the website is still my little escape to my creative "archive" where I can share my photos, stories and ideas.
Why the blogs?
I have two blogs:
- One used to be about my life at university in a different country, but in 2014 I changed it to a travelling blog because I was going to Africa for 5 weeks - and because quite frankly I travel a lot in general, though mostly for business... This means that the blog is somewhat inactive when I'm working and not out and about.
- My second blog is on racism, prejudice and stereotypes because these are things that are very close to my heart. Being adopted from Vietnam, growing up in northern Europe, with some years in small places without many different-looking people, you experience certain things. So you can consider it a bit educational. It's hardly a regular blog, as I would rather write about things that are meaningful and interesting - which doesn't always come naturally - than throwing something out there for the sake of it. So check in every now and then, and maybe there'll be something new.
